Welcome to the new semester!
The lecture period starts in a few days. For the first semester students, this marks the beginning of a new phase in their lives. On November 2, FAU will start the lectures for the winter semester 2020/2021. Don’t miss out on the digital study start celebration, where you will receive introductions to your study programs, first lectures, and a lot of important information for a successful start of your studies.
We will start the term with a hybrid lecture program. This means that some modules will be held online like in the previous semester, while will take place on campus.
In the information system UnivIS, available at www.univis.fau.de, you will find information for all courses regarding their format (online, on campus, or hybrid online/on campus), as well as detailed information on the respective online format, and information about time and place.
Particularly with regard to the currently increasing number of infections and the new regulations passed by the federal and state governments, it is important to make clear that on campus teaching is only possible with the cooperation of everyone. Therefore, please observe the hygiene regulations of the faculty carefully and always adhere to them. This is the only way to maintain on campus teaching formats at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Society.
You can find the faculty’s hygiene guidelines at https://www.wiso-virtuell.fau.eu/health-guidelines/. The general regulations of FAU can be found at https://www.fau.eu/corona/hygiene-guidelines/.
In case any problems or questions arise, our quality management has set clear responsibilities and proven communication channels that you can fall back on. If you perceive a problem, please help and contact us! In order to solve problems where they arise, please first contact the responsible lecturer. If the issue is not resolved, please contact the respective subject advisors, program coordinators, and course coordinators in a next steps. You can find them at https://www.wiso.rw.fau.eu/study/current-students/study-advice-for-specific-subjects/.
We wish you a great start into the winter semester and a good and instructive time at the faculty. We are looking forward meeting you!
